## Your archive is ready in three steps

You request the archive, then download it when the email arrives.

### Request the archive

Confirm the request with a code. You keep working while it’s being prepared.

![The Export the site section of Settings: the archive is prepared in the background, an email lets you know when it’s ready and it stays available for seven days. Below, the Export the site button.](https://static.lovelyrender.com/uploads/2026/10/264-recuperer-reglages.png)

### Get the email

An email lets you know when the archive is ready. It stays available to you alone.

![The Your site export is ready email: the archive of the atelier-sauge.fr site weighs 2 GB and stays available until 17 October 2026, with the Download the archive button.](https://static.lovelyrender.com/uploads/2026/10/268-recuperer-email.png)

## Your site starts again almost exactly as it was

Your pages open in the WordPress editor, as WordPress blocks. Their URL, their text, their photos and their design don’t change.

Your requests and your analytics leave as CSV files. If your Google account is connected, what it recorded about your site leaves too.

### Your site stays a WordPress site

Your site is a WordPress site, the software behind more than 40% of the sites on the web. A WordPress host or developer can take over your site.

## You leave with your site, not with our tools

The product’s features stay with us. Your site displays as before, without them.

### Animations and interactions

Your pages keep their layout. Hover and scroll effects no longer play.

### The language switcher and the cookie banner

They disappear from your pages. Your carousels become fixed rows.

### Form submission

Your forms keep their fields but no longer send anything. Your past requests are in the archive.

### The staging site, backups and live analytics

Your new host will provide its own. Your past analytics stay yours, in the archive.

## Frequently asked questions

*### Does leaving cost me anything?*

No. The archive is included in every plan. You download it as many times as you want.

*### Who can download my site’s archive?*

Only the site’s owners. Every export requires a code and the other owners are notified. We choose the owners with you.

*### Can I get my site back after my subscription ends?*

Yes. Your site stays downloadable for 30 days after your subscription ends, before it’s deleted.

*### Which hosting can I move my site to?*

Any hosting that installs a recent WordPress. Your host or your agency follows the instructions in the archive.

*### Can my agency keep my site?*

No. The site is yours and its owners export it without going through your agency.

*### Why stay if I can leave?*

Because we take on what ordinary hosting leaves to you: updates, security, backups and risk-free publishing.
